About the Author
Jack MacTavish is a distinguished former United States Army Colonel and accomplished writer of high stakes action and adventure books and military and political thrillers. With over 36 years of service in the United States Army and Army Reserve, MacTavish has built an impressive career both in uniform and as a storyteller. His experience includes deployments and assignments with elite units such as the 82nd Airborne Division, The United States Army Special Operations Command and the United States Special Operations Command. His career took him to diverse and dangerous locations, including Afghanistan, Korea, Haiti and various parts of Central and South America and the Middle East. He has also worked in the Intelligence Community as a contractor.
The Books
MacTavish's military and political thriller novels include Letter of Marque, Sons of Liberty, and Spearhead. He is currently writing his first action adventure novel, Royal Diamond. All of his work showcases his deep understanding of military operations, covert missions, and geopolitical intrigue- as well as his unending passion for adventure. His writing is influenced by thriller icons like Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, W.E.B. Griffin, Brad Taylor, Brad Thor and Vince Flynn. MacTavish's novels combine a meticulous grasp of military strategy with gripping narratives and memorable characters that delve into high adventure, espionage, political corruption, patriotism and personal sacrifice.

MacTavish lives in North Carolina, where he balances his passion for writing with his love for his family, travel, hunting and fishing, music, photography and giving back to the community. MacTavish is a dedicated watch enthusiast. He is a passionate advocate for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and veteran causes. He is a developing influencer on social media and is a passionate supporter of other authors and social media creators- especially those who are veterans of the military and intelligence community.
